BOOK
2022
Research, Archive, Editorial Design, Production
SPEDIZIONE ROMANA GROENLANDIA ORIENTALE. 72° PARALLELO.
The book reconstructs a scientific-alpinism expedition on Greenland’s East Coast in 1984 by putting together documents, pictures and maps found in a family archive. Through oral storytelling, it has been possible to reconstruct the events and translate them into a more accessible form that can be also appreciated outside of our family dimension. The archive provides readers with technical insights into planning, travel, and stay, along with a personal and emotional connection to the expedition. Through visual and material features, the design reflects the qualities of the original archive and the characteristic of the geographical territory.

in collaboration with: Mina Bavosi, Andrea Camurani
The poster explores the concept of "mute expression" by mapping individuals captured in Google Street View as decontextualized presences from around the world and capturing their moments of stillness and introspection. The figures depicted are isolated from their original context to analyse their way of communicating without words when faced with the unexpected presence of the camera.
