STAUNING ‘84: SPEDIZIONE ROMANA GROENLANDIA ORIENTALE. 72° PARALLELO.
The book reconstructs a scientific-alpinism expedition on Greenland’s East Coast in 1984 by putting together documents, pictures and maps found in a family archive. Through oral storytelling, it has been possible to reconstruct the events and translate them into a more accessible form that can be also appreciated outside of our family dimension. The archive provides readers with technical insights into planning, travel, and stay, along with a personal and emotional connection to the expedition. Through visual and material features, the design reflects the qualities of the original archive and the characteristic of the geographical territory.
